As áreas de risco hidrológico foram criadas utilizando como base primária um mapa de risco hidrológico desenvolvido pelos técnicos da Defesa Civil, os pontos, classificados em muito alto, alto e médio, foram identificados e posteriormente, inseridos no software Global Mapper. No Global Mapper foi calculada uma enchente com o volume das águas dos cursos d'água aumentadas em 3 metros, utilizou-se os pontos para determinar as áreas de ocorrências e as demais áreas de inundação foram descartadas.
